HIKING ROUTE ON MØNS KLINT
The Røde Udfald route is a beautiful hiking route of 2,7 km, where you experience the northern part of Møns Klint.
You start at the GeoCenter Møns Klint and goes north. The first thing you experience is Dronningestolen, the highest point of the cliff with a breathtaking view of the Baltic Sea and a 128 meter almost vertical drop down to the beach.
From here you continue a few hundred meters north to Forchhammers Pynt, where the view is also fantastic. Go further 100 meters north and see the "Klintekongens sjætt", a 10 meter high profile in the cliff. On the way to the stairs at Røde Udfald, enjoy the beech forest and the many beautiful viewpoints.
At Røde Udfald you go down the stairs to the beach, and back along the beach to the stairs at the GeoCenter. On the beach you walk on large banks of deposited flints. They have all been washed out of the cliff over time and are now transported northwards around Møn by water and currents. On the beach you have an obvious opportunity to look for fossils and beautiful stones.
Length: 2,7 km
Duration: approx. 1 hour
NOTE:
No access to the beach! The stairs at Røde Udfald were destroyed during the storm surge in October 2023, and have not yet been repaired. The staircase is expected to be completed during 2025.
