WHO: 7.-10. CLASS, GYMNASIUM AND HF
SUBJECT: BIOLOGY
DURATION: 2 HOURS
What was the Cretaceous Sea ecosystem like? Why do some species survive while others become extinct? How does a new species develop?
The teaching course "Evolution" is based on animals and plants Møns Klint. We look at both common beech forest species and more rare species such as peregrine falcon and ivory toad. On the way down the stairs, you come across some of the main concepts in evolution. On the beach, as part of the course, you can find fossils of extinct sea animals that show different adaptations to life in a warm, salty sea.
In the event of high water levels, bad weather, etc., the course can be replaced by a tour around the exhibition, where the many models and fossils are used as examples of species and adaptations.
TOPICS: EVOLUTION, ADAPTATION, SELECTION, COMPETITION, SEXUAL AND Asexual REPRODUCTION, NICHES, THEORIES OF EVOLUTION (LAMARCK AND DARWIN), DIVERGENT AND CONVERGENT DEVELOPMENT.
