What makes the nature on Høje Møn so unique? What is the secret ingredient? And why is nature in crisis?
Now you can experience the brand new special exhibition "Everything is connected - Biodiversity on Høje Møn", which opened in June 2024.
Enter a poetic universe filled with fluttering butterflies and a multitude of colors. Experience the four-metre-high orchid, see the world from the perspective of insects, or become a butterfly yourself with brightly colored wings.
You can also learn how to turn your garden into an insect paradise, or recreate an old limestone meadow – to the delight of rare orchids and butterflies. Or how about stepping into the dark and meeting the creatures of the night in the atmospheric Dark Sky room?
The exhibition gives a unique insight into the very special biodiversity found on Høje Møn - and not least what is being done to look after it, so that future generations can also experience the peregrine falcon, the large blue butterfly, wild orchids, and all the other wonderful species.
The exhibition is supported by the Nordea Foundation, and is also part of the large EU-supported project LIFE ORCHIDS, which aims to protect and promote the very special nature and the many unique species that live on Høje Møn. Not least the many rare orchids, as well as the large blue butterfly.
