10.000 LIGHTS ARE FOUND ON THE CLIFF OF MØN EVERY YEAR. WHAT IS A LIGHT LIGHT ACTUALLY?
Is it an arm from an octopus? Is it a tooth from a dinosaur? Is it the tip of a bolt of lightning, sent by Thor's hammer, as was believed in the old days? In reality, mantis is the carapace of a prehistoric squid, a belemnite, which lived in the Cretaceous Sea 70 million years ago. years ago. And then the tea light is a kind of icon for Møns Klint. At GeoCenter Møns Klint together with our guests, we collected a total of 53.500 candles in the period 2016-2018. It is now the world's largest collection - even with a diploma. Guinness World Records has approved our record. That's why you can now see the world's largest collection of candle lights at the GeoCentre.
The world record is exhibited and guarded by the 12 meter long legendary octopus KRAKEN. It's so terrifying that we're sure it's the perfect guardian of the collection.
